You are invited to the Ober Gatlinburg Ski and Amusement Park to compete or to watch as area snowboarders, skiers and “cardboard sledders” square off head to head in the exciting annual “Southern Exposure” competition Feb 6, 2010 at the Ober Gatlinburg ski slopes. This annual event at the Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort includes ski and snowboard competitions, and spectacular high-flying ski and snowboard jumping events that will see some incredible air time! An awards ceremony will honor all of the competitors and then there will be a hilarious Cardboard Sled Classic Derby with thrills and spills sure to make everyone laugh and smile . This event is open to all, but it is limited to 45 cardboard sleds.

Ober Gatlinburg currently has all slopes open as of 01/10/10. The Gatlinburg Tennessee ski season is in full swing thanks to some exceptionally cold weather.
