Perhaps I am the simplest fella on the planet, but Gatlinburg is my Heaven on earth! The precious memories from this little cozy town of romance still thrills me just as it did so many years ago. The memories created here will surly remain my fondest until the day that I pass away. Thank everyone that gave me true precious memories in little Heaven. Never has there been a bad moment here! Teddy

I have to agree with Jimmy Wilson. Been coming since 1980 and the good has far outweighed the bad. Actually the bad can’t be recalled.

Brenda Gravitt March 29, 2019 at 5:39 am

Gatlinburg my happy place. When I come into Pigeon Forge it’s like the stress just leaves. I love the smell, the crowds, the scenery, the animals. Everything. I will not be content until I am living back there again. Never should have left.

Mike Powers March 29, 2019 at 5:35 am

I agree with Jimmy Wilson. 39 years and counting. So few complaints they don’t count.

Mike jones March 25, 2019 at 6:49 am

Ready to go back to stay I would love to stay and not come back home to Indiana

Brenda Gravitt March 23, 2019 at 4:42 am

I have stayed at several hotels in Gatlinburg and I have never had a problem with bed bugs. Also I always make my reservations through expedia or one of those sights and the rates are always alot cheaper especially during the week.

Kenny B. March 17, 2019 at 3:19 pm

I like when the spider is moving across the camera lol.

Brenda Gravitt March 13, 2019 at 9:17 am

I love sitting and watching the cams especially this one. Makes me just want to pack up and go. Love this place and planning on moving there in the fall of 2019 or spring of 2020. Thank you.

We have been going to Gatlinburg for over 44 years as a couple and some of the negative comments below are not warranted from my perspective! We travel a good bit all over the country and find the room prices in Gatlinburg specifically, are very much in line – In the off season rooms can be found for under a $100 and these prices are at the name brand hotels – Are the hotels not in the business to make a profit? Is the Smoky Mountain National Park not the “most” visited park in the country? Now about the downtown area having trash – Often, when we have been there (5 times a year), there are literally “thousands of people walking the streets – Who is it that is throwing trash on the ground? The people walking the streets are the culprit! There are trash cans all over the place and I have seen the trash trucks and crews many many times emptying them – The problem is sorry people who are just too dang lazy or sorry to put the trash in the can – Now let’s talk about bed bugs – The web site mentioned below is one that is independently operated – It is not the health department just people making random comments that are not valid – We stay with the Hilton group and have never had that problem – As far as a hotel being outdated, yes they might need to be remodeled but if you go on the Gatlinburg Inn web site there are more people who like the “rustic” feel of that Inn – Love the town and entire area – We have seen a lot of changes over the past 44 years, some good and perhaps some we don’t like, but change is going to happen – Go somewhere else if going to Gatlinburg does not make you happy!

Brenda Gravitt March 7, 2019 at 6:46 am

I have stayed at several hotels in Gatlinburg and they have all been very nice. Never had to worry about any bed bugs. Love it and plan on moving there next spring.

Joe I March 5, 2019 at 8:23 am

Just returned last week from Gatlinburg and enjoyed it very much. Stayed at Park Vista Doubletree which was outstanding. Just love the Smokey mountains and walking through downtown. We took trolley from hotel which was perfect and did not have to worry about parking.

Dillon Trent February 27, 2019 at 10:05 am

This place would be 1000 times better if they would some of the tons of money they get to improve the place. Bed bugs in most hotels that they will still charge you like $200 a night for, the streets are covered in gum and trash all the time, and many more awful problems but they just do not care

Brenda Gravitt February 23, 2019 at 9:25 am

When I go to Gatlinburg I always stay in a hotel close to town so I can walk and not have to pay to park. The only time my car is moved is when I go to Cades Cove, Newfound Gap, or Roaring Fork, etc. Love the mountains and hope to move there soon.

Carl & Lois February 17, 2019 at 5:55 am

We love Gatlinburg we come twice a year the spring & fall.I love the downtown camera. There used to be motels in the middle of town but got torn down for parking. We used to stay at Comfort Inn across from Gatlinburg Inn they were renting our parking space out when we got back we had no where to park. What the hell we paid $ 200.00 a night in October and couldn’t park. Now the new motels Holiday Inn, Marriott, Hilton, margarittaville is so over priced its not funny. The Gatlinburg Inn needs updated but there price is outrageous for an out dated motel. Then I went to national bed bug registry look out, most places has had a report of bed bugs an still want to charge $ 200.00 – $300.00 all they are doing is running there busy off. We donated to help after the fires. Now we stay in Pigeon Forge which is not much better, we keep all suit cases in garbage bags to keep from bringing bugs home. IT’S over priced for sure. Now we pick an choose carefully what we do when we go. We used to make reservations a year in advanced just to get the room we wanted. Now it’s gone. I do love the mountains so we keep right on coming back year after year.

john February 16, 2019 at 7:59 pm

As much money as they make you would think they would want the cam to work all the time to attract more far away dollars.

charles chevalier February 10, 2019 at 5:56 am

when the town burned a couple years ago ,the people pulled together with help and the motel owners almost doubled their prices on rooms, especially peak season. they think that we should pay more just to rest ,shower, and sleep cause more people come there

Brenda Gravitt February 5, 2019 at 4:55 pm

Why is the webcam always shut off during the fireworks and the parades? For all of us that cannot be there it would be nice to be able to enjoy these also.

Greg Keairns February 1, 2019 at 5:29 am

I can’t think of anything better than spending spring and fall in the Smokies. Relaxing on the various drives through the mountains. Especially the Roaring Fork 12 mile auto drive at stoplight # 8. In the evening spending time on the strip and finding a cozy bench seat and people watching as well as vehicles. That in itself is worth the $10 to park.
Great restaurants, fun places to visit and bears. We saw 9 bears on a Sunday last year. You will seed all kind of animals on the nature drive.
Smokies is calling us and we will be back the end of May 2019.

Waleska January 27, 2019 at 10:19 am

Love to look at your little town. My family and I LOVE Gatlinburg. We live in Florida but we feel at home every summer when we visit. There is so much beauty and a lot to do if you like the outdoors. We hope we can move in the future at least an hour away so we can actually call Tennessee our home.

Henry Shaffer January 20, 2019 at 2:00 am

I love the view of this webcam, I come here often to look at the traffic and weather. I visit Gatlinburg in February and October, the best times of the year!

Penny January 8, 2019 at 10:04 am

Kent Mears December 31, 2018 at 9:54 pm

Why does the web cam get turned OFF for events???????

sam lee December 25, 2018 at 11:06 am

love Gatlinburg but prices for dumps have gotten outrageous!

nancy December 9, 2018 at 6:11 pm

We own a cabin in Cosby and love to visit Gatlinburg. Wish there was a pedestrian overpass over the main drag. It would definitely help with traffic congestion.

steve d shinabery December 9, 2018 at 12:36 pm

Thanks for all the web cams.I live in Ohio. But my hart is in the TN.

Ron December 8, 2018 at 9:41 am

C.Gammons December 7, 2018 at 7:40 pm

Well that just proved my point. Now camera downtown is working. The message on here needs to be changed that’s false advertisement..

This camera offers one of the best views of the downtown Gatlinburg Parkway, see the live Gatlinburg traffic and holiday parades. RIght!

Carroll December 7, 2018 at 5:21 pm

Funny how this site says this camera shows the holiday parades. Why is it before parades this downtown camera is never working. Hmmm.

Eddie S. December 6, 2018 at 9:09 am

Only living two counties away from the Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge area has been a blessing. I’m 68 years old now but some of my fondest memories from my early childhood are in the Smokies and it was a great weekend getaway for us. We all knew it would grow and grow in the coming years but it’s still a great feeling to go there. Feels like sort of a second home. My In-Laws built a home several years ago near Sevierville and had it on a rental basis as well. We spent many great days there. They got older and decided to sell it. Sadly it was lost in the fires and the only thing we have now is photos and memories. Appreciate the cam. Good to check the weather in winter there and the crowds at the Christmas parades and such.

Danny Knight December 4, 2018 at 4:13 pm

Cam out?

nan reninger December 1, 2018 at 6:33 am

the camera needs to be turned back to show both sides of the street as well as traffic downtown. this view does not give the viewer the information we want. is it busy there? traffic heavy? you get it i’m sure.

Ron Davis November 30, 2018 at 3:08 pm

Could you move the camera back to showing the street????

William lafevor November 29, 2018 at 8:26 pm

Move the camera back to show more of the Downtown roadway.

Jenny Curtis November 29, 2018 at 2:13 pm

The camera view is messed up.

Sherry Cobb November 29, 2018 at 10:47 am

Why is the My Mall cam showing only 3 stores and not the coverage it was showing in the months prior to today. The prior coverage was a lot better!

Gammons November 29, 2018 at 8:20 am

Why has the camera been moved? Now it just shows a couple stores. Please put it back the way it was. Thankyou.

jimmy wilson November 29, 2018 at 5:56 am

Nice picture of the buildings downtown – I really enjoy looking at them!

Carroll November 28, 2018 at 9:17 pm

What happened to position. The camera is not pointing up the parkway like it has always done. The view now doesnt really show anything. Please put back to way it used to be…

Bruce November 28, 2018 at 10:26 am

The mountain mall webcam needs to be adjusted. it is not facing downtown anymore .

Debbie November 27, 2018 at 1:26 pm

Please fix the angle on the camera. It is not looking down the street like it was.

Bruce November 27, 2018 at 6:29 am

I have been visiting Gatlinburg for 35 years and when not there I enjoy the web cams . The mountain mall camera needs to be changed . It used to show much of downtown . Now it only shows the stores across the street .

Kent May 14, 2018 at 8:42 pm

Like the new web cam , now if they get space needle back up and give more time to control .I have been watching all the new homes being built after the fire. was watching the day of the fire.Have been coming down from Illinois for 38 years 3 or 4 times a year ,was down 5 days after the fire. Call this town home, will be down on first of July for 6 day,s Everything looks like getting back to normal all but the tree,s ,stay Mountain Strong my friends.

Nancy April 20, 2018 at 10:35 am

I was eight years old on my first trip to Gatlinburg with my parents. I have since been with my children and grandchildren. Been going over 50 years now and have all our favorite places. We used to breed and train horses so we always include horseback riding on our trips.

Rose April 16, 2018 at 7:02 am

I love the mountains, I live not so far away but I hate the old run down motels and hotels I see in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. I am not a fan of staying where 1000’s of people stay and bring in all sorts of really disgusting stuff with them (bugs). So I am a freak of nature when it comes to laying my head down and having the possibility of bed bug coming home with me. Not a fan. So I guess I need to find a nice place there, if I stay, but I can’t get anyone to give me updates with honesty as far as the people that run the hotels there. I want a place that does not look outdated in the 50’s nor a place that is so expensive you have to wear jewels to even fit in. If you can give me an idea of nice places please do so. This comment was not to make anyone mad or hurt anyone, it was to get an honest idea of places to stay if I decide to.

marty April 15, 2018 at 5:15 pm

whats the point of the mountain mall web-cam, it only lasts 10 seconds then bleeps off.

Greg April 8, 2018 at 8:57 am

Back in the early 50s when I first came to Gatlinburg with my parents the town closed down during the winter. On a cold winter day you could drive to the top of the mountain at New Found Gap from Gatlinburg and not see a single car during the trip. It really was beautiful back in those days before all the crowds.

John March 8, 2018 at 6:15 am

I have been going to Gatlinburg for over 30 years now. Absolutely love the mountains. There’s so much to do. I’ve met some good people there. We usually stay in a cabin. What an awesome time. One day I will move down to the area. I always pull up the webcams, just to dream and see what’s going on. Thank you for sharing.

john February 4, 2018 at 4:17 pm

Wow, you would think with all the bucks this area rakes in they could afford to fix a couple cameras. let people know where that pocket full of money went anyway

Mike Powers January 16, 2018 at 6:46 pm

Downtown mountain mall fails to load up quite often. And the Space Needle won’t load on my new samsung S7 at all.

Donald craft January 8, 2018 at 12:55 pm

I have been to gatlinburg at least 100 times in the 60 years I love the Smokey mountains gatlinburg and pigeon forge tnn

Jennifer December 28, 2017 at 11:06 am

Thank you for having this webcam. I wish there were more of them around town but I greatly appreciate each one and enjoy peeking in on my favorite vacation spot!

SAHARA December 22, 2017 at 10:53 am

I have been to Gatlinbrug so many time..I love it there so much.So many people are kind, and the hotels there are many activities to do there. If your planning to come…it will definitely be the best trip that you would enjoy! tomorrow I am going to Gatlinburg.Cant wait to have a big ride there (Saturday is when I am going/12-23-17)

Barry Lambert December 11, 2017 at 6:53 am

Just love looking at Gatlinburg from time to time. Plan on moving there when I retire.

Curious Person December 10, 2017 at 6:58 am

There have been at least one of recent and more over time that have wondered why there is not a larger view of the Parkway than this small view.
