Perhaps I am the simplest fella on the planet, but Gatlinburg is my Heaven on earth! The precious memories from this little cozy town of romance still thrills me just as it did so many years ago. The memories created here will surly remain my fondest until the day that I pass away. Thank everyone that gave me true precious memories in little Heaven. Never has there been a bad moment here! Teddy
I have to agree with Jimmy Wilson. Been coming since 1980 and the good has far outweighed the bad. Actually the bad can’t be recalled.
Gatlinburg my happy place. When I come into Pigeon Forge it’s like the stress just leaves. I love the smell, the crowds, the scenery, the animals. Everything. I will not be content until I am living back there again. Never should have left.
I agree with Jimmy Wilson. 39 years and counting. So few complaints they don’t count.
Ready to go back to stay I would love to stay and not come back home to Indiana
I have stayed at several hotels in Gatlinburg and I have never had a problem with bed bugs. Also I always make my reservations through expedia or one of those sights and the rates are always alot cheaper especially during the week.
I like when the spider is moving across the camera lol.
I love sitting and watching the cams especially this one. Makes me just want to pack up and go. Love this place and planning on moving there in the fall of 2019 or spring of 2020. Thank you.
We have been going to Gatlinburg for over 44 years as a couple and some of the negative comments below are not warranted from my perspective! We travel a good bit all over the country and find the room prices in Gatlinburg specifically, are very much in line – In the off season rooms can be found for under a $100 and these prices are at the name brand hotels – Are the hotels not in the business to make a profit? Is the Smoky Mountain National Park not the “most” visited park in the country? Now about the downtown area having trash – Often, when we have been there (5 times a year), there are literally “thousands of people walking the streets – Who is it that is throwing trash on the ground? The people walking the streets are the culprit! There are trash cans all over the place and I have seen the trash trucks and crews many many times emptying them – The problem is sorry people who are just too dang lazy or sorry to put the trash in the can – Now let’s talk about bed bugs – The web site mentioned below is one that is independently operated – It is not the health department just people making random comments that are not valid – We stay with the Hilton group and have never had that problem – As far as a hotel being outdated, yes they might need to be remodeled but if you go on the Gatlinburg Inn web site there are more people who like the “rustic” feel of that Inn – Love the town and entire area – We have seen a lot of changes over the past 44 years, some good and perhaps some we don’t like, but change is going to happen – Go somewhere else if going to Gatlinburg does not make you happy!
